Continuing on from previous years I've created a gallery to record a few hopefully interesting shots from 2010. I've also tweaked the source code behind the web page so that in addition to the features of previous galleries you should now be able to open a larger view of each photo by clicking on the smaller image.

The first group of photos show a few of the 2010 winter upgrades. There are some new 4-pot lightweight front calipers and hoses; the Dunnell exhaust has been tidied up and wrapped in an attempt to get the engine bay temperatures down a bit; and I've tidied up the top of the engine with some race spec Magnecor plug leads and a Carbon Mods lead cover. There's also the new Schroth FIA Approved harnesses and my first attempts at carbon fibre manufacture in the form of a pedal cover and tunnel top. The final photo in this section is an oddball. I was walking through reception at work a couple of days after the Monaco GP when the winning drivers trophy was delivered and I couldn't resist picking it up just before it headed for the trophy cabinet.

The first major show of the year was the National Kit Car Show at Stoneleigh. Attendance felt a bit down this year due mainly to the fairly dubious weather. Nevertheless, there was still a decent collection of cars to see. Here are a few highlights.

The next show for me was the Newark Kit Car Show. It was a really nice day and I had a faultfree drive mainly up the A1. It did the car good to get a decent run out. Here are a few highlights.

The next series of photos covers an astonishing day out at a 1950's re-enactment at RAF Upwood near Cambridge. I've never been to anything like this before, and was surprised how many people enjoy these recreations. It also included a really nice memorial day service in one of the large hangars. I usually limit myself to a few pictures from each event just to paint a picture, but there was so much going on here that I've bent that rule and included a good selection. I've created the thumbnails a bit smaller than usual to speed up the page loading, but there's a large version available if you click on any of them. If you've never been to one of these days I would thoroughly recommend it.
