Mainly about me
I'm a Chartered Mechanical Engineer and have been for 25 years. I started at Vauxhall Motors as a student, went to Southampton Uni and then spent 5 very happy years at Millbrook Proving Ground in Bedfordshire. There followed 7 years in consultancy at Cranfield University and a further 7 years in the aerospace industry near Gloucester. A couple of years in the electronics industry followed and in 1997 I moved to a F1 team, and I'm still there now. During my career the jobs have spanned Project Engineer, QA Manager, Production Manager and currently an IT business applications specialist.
I've always loved practical engineering as a hobby and this has ranged from restoring a boat and several classic cars, through a passion for kit cars, to building my own house. In recent years I've photographed and documented some of the more interesting projects and I'm happy to share some of the results, good and bad.
