Welcome to the Westfield SEW page

I bought the Westfield in March 2006. It had been repaired following a track day incident. An 1800 Zetec engine had been fitted, running on twin Weber carbs, with megajolt ignition. It wasn't especially refined and it certainly wasn't beautiful but it had a MOT and formed an excellent base for a complete rebuild and some engineering development. My very own "Wrecks to Riches..."

In the last couple of years I've done quite a lot of engineering on the car. It still looks much like the 2008 photo above, but there have been many mechanical changes. A completely rebuilt 2 litre engine, throttle bodied fuel injection, new exhaust, poly-bushed suspension, 4 pot brakes, new harnesses, and many other detailed upgrades, some of which I've written up individually and you can view via the index to the left.

In May 2011 I sold it to make way for the next project. I was running out of ideas and things to do to Westfield No 1 and needed a new challenge. It's been a great 5 years.
